Be careful opening the box! The wood panel happened to be on the side I opened it -- nearly cut it with the box cutter.Instructions are clearly written and match the labeling of the parts. Note: in Step 2, those vertical lines are the letter I, not screws. Definitely helps to read the actual sentences not just look at the diagrams.Materials:WOOD TOP- The top is not solid wood, but some sort of plywood board or particleboard with faux wood veneer. Photo included. (Note that the description never claims to be solid wood). This is not made to be used as a cutting board (and the cart rolls anyway).- The appearance of the veneer is decently natural, with a pleasant rustic pattern. The texturing doesn't match the "wood grains" in visual pattern, but feels nice enough nonetheless.- The board feels dense and sturdy and fits well in the steel frame.STEEL FRAME- The steel pillars are actually U shaped and stack on each other very easily and satisfyingly to form ladders. After clicking together, there is no wobbling of the pillars. They feels very sturdy. The steel frame was easy to assemble (step 1)- Steel tubes for sliding drawers are threaded and connect easily with screws. Be careful to slide the drawers onto the tubes all the same direction, otherwise your drawers will pull out in different directions. Note that the drawers only pull out in ONE direction (depending on how you assemble them) so make sure you have them facing the way you want.- After fully assembling the frame, it is quite stable and not wobbly.WHEELS:The wheels are plastic and they seem sturdy enough. I'm unsure of weight capacity for this cart. The only design improvement I would suggest would be to make them solid wheels (vs the two-headed kind) like what the ikea raskog carts use. Those solid wheels feel more durable and roll easier in my experience. They still have locking capability. I will not deduct stars for this though since these wheels work fine. I imagine they would be the first thing to break though, so if they break within a year I'll update this review.Other comments:- Wrenches needed for assembly were included. However it would have been helpful to have a second allen wrench for tightening the screws as tightening one side would lead to the other side loosening unless held in place by the second wrench.- One of the wood handles came off the basket. I think they stay on using friction, not glue or screws, so you need to pull the drawers horizontally with no upward force. I won't deduct stars for this as it does not seem like a big issue to me.- You have to be careful when sliding out drawers to do one at a time otherwise the cart could tip over if the drawer is heavy. This is just the laws of physics and I won't deduct stars for this.Overall, I'm satisfied with this cart. It is sturdy, easy enough to assemble, and functional. It is as advertised. I do not have complaints. I would recommend it as long as the description and photos look like what you want.
I鈥檝e been using this as additional prep and storage space, and it鈥檚 a practical solution for expanding kitchen workspace without a permanent island.Pros:Solid oak top provides a stable surface for meal prepThree-tier design helps organize appliances, cookware, and suppliesFoldable feature is useful when I need to store it awayWheels roll smoothly and lock in place for stabilityMetal frame feels sturdy under typical kitchen loadsWorks well as a temporary prep station or overflow storageCons:Assembly takes some time and attentionNot as rigid as a fixed island when fully loadedOak top should be kept dry and maintainedSize may be limiting for larger kitchens or heavier appliancesBottom line:For me, this is a practical, space-saving kitchen cart that adds useful prep and storage capacity. It鈥檚 especially helpful in smaller kitchens or as a flexible secondary workspace, with the foldable design making it easy to tuck away when not in use.
This fold-up Island Table is a game changer. My kitchen does not have a large counter for preparing food. After I purchased this fold-up Island Table I have more than enough room to prepare and prep my food.
Sturdy and durable
I love this cart! Very well made, solid - looks great! Wheels move perfectly. Folds very easily and holds so much on the lower shelves. I thought I would use it as a food prep table and store it but after a few uses I just kept it in my kitchen because it is SO helpful and convenient. It added much needed counter space for food prep. Also super useful to have when needing to use multiple kitchen appliances at the same time (Kitchenaid mixer, Instant Pot). The height is perfect and you just roll it where you need it, it also has wheel locks to keep it still when needed and these also work perfectly.
